Hi, I'm Wyatt, and I'm a young, playful cat that gets along with everyone I meet, including other cats and dogs. I am just as likely to dash around the house as I am to cuddle on your lap. As you can see by my big "thumb," I'm polydactyl, which means I have a few extra toes and wow, you should see me strut! I was pulled from a free admittance shelter and now I'm happy to run around and play at my foster home. Ideally though, I would like a nice home with a family that can love me, my antics, and my extra digits! If you're interested in meeting me, please call the rescue to set up an appointment.

All of the dogs and cats (and people!) here at Animal Rescue, Inc. want to thank everyone who donated toward the Peace Tree. Anyone who saw the tree this year could tell that we have many loyal supporters who care about the animals. Each branch was packed with the tags that we sent out, and many included pictures and cards with funny or sentimental stories. We were delighted to see and read each one, and are glad there are many good-hearted people who love and care about animals as much as we do. The donations made toward the peace tree will provide food, medical care and many other things to the animals at our rescue. Thank you so much for contributing!

We are in need of fosters who are willing to work with special-needs pets, specifically kittens, older cats, puppy mill dogs, and older dogs, though fosters interested in pets in other stages of life will certainly be considered. Each of these types of pets need special care from a loving individual, couple, or family who's willing to make a commitment to change their lives. Young kittens require much care, while puppy mill dogs may need to socialized in order to trust humans again. Some cats do better when in a home setting with human attention, while older dogs might just need a loving human to give them their medicine and an extra soft bed to spend the rest of their days on. If you are interested in making a difference, please contact the rescue.

We've been updating our "Happy Endings," the part of our website where we celebrate the recent adoptions of our animals here at the rescue. And now we want to hear your funny, cute and sentimental stories about the animals you've adopted from us! Send your stories to info@animalrescueinc.org and we'll do our best to post them on the site. Don't forget to send a picture!

ARI's sponsorship program allows animal lovers to sponsor one of our dogs or cats for a small donation. With their contribution, sponsors will get a picture of the dog or cat they're sponsoring and the happiness they feel for helping a needy animal is completely free! Recently, we’ve seen a drop in the donations of cat and kitten food (both wet and dry). If you’re thinking about making a donation, consider bringing these items to the rescue. Also, we are always cleaning to keep our animals happy and healthy, and we can always use mops and spare mop heads.
